Not all aid lines end in bloodshed. In northern Gaza, coordination between Palestinian tribes has allowed for safer, locally secured distribution points. No shooting. No bombings. Just food and a shred of dignity.

In coordination with UN agencies and other international aid groups, Israel is allowing 100 trucks back into Gaza a day. This, after devastating scenes of crowds being shot at and hundreds being killed after Israeli attacks on aid distribution points run by US contractors.

"Dear friends and allies,

I owe you an update from the Gaza Soup Kitchen. But firstthank you. Thank you for being here, for pouring your heart into this with us and for us. None of this happens without you.

Yesterday, I thought we had good news. For once, it seemed the aid trucks made it safely to the right organizations, thanks to a remarkable effort by families who stepped up to protect the convoys from looters and opportunists.

But this morning, the government announced it would block againclaiming that aid reaching civilians somehow helps militants. Do you see how absurd this is When aid flows in an orderly way, it reduces Palestinian sufferingand that undermines Israels cruel objective of using and chaos as tools of war.

Make no mistake: Israel thrives on the images of desperate people fighting over scraps. Some looters are simply desperate others, emboldened by Israel, have been weaponized to disrupt aid, drive up prices, and deepen the misery.

So what does this mean for us For starters, were finalizing plans to open our tenth kitchen. Yesten. Our operations have doubled since March because the need has doubled. Other aid actors have shut down, paused, or couldnt figure out how to operate under siege. But we didnt stop. We wont.

And pleasedirect your frustration where it belongs: at , not the aid organizations. Groups like are still on the ground, delivering healthcare, education, and water under impossible conditions.

Prices in are unpredictable. One day we can afford staples, and the next day, the prices skyrocket. Vendors are charging as much as 40% in transfer fees because cash is so scarce. Its supply, demand, and unfortunately, a bit of gougingcapitalism under siege.

Our team has been cooking dishes we havent made in months. Just recently, we served Romanya and Damsat Adas (lentil stew). Were also rotating lentil stews, white bean stews, andwhen we can source enoughrice-based meals to feed entire neighborhoods.

People know to find us in Al-Sheikh Radwan, Al-Shati (Beach Camp), Al-Nasr, and Al-Rimal. Our northernmost spot is Al-Saftaway, and our westernmost is literally on the Gaza piercooking right on the dock.

Beyond food, our water trucks are out every single morning, delivering clean drinking water to shelters and neighborhoods. We maintain a steady presence in Nuseirat with both water and a pop-up kitchen there. That location runs with the help of a trusted partner team since we dont have a full-time crew based there.

Our medical point stays busyserving an average of 80 patients a day. Primary care, dental work, physical therapy, wound care, and a small but vital pharmacy we stock regularly. Nurses are changing dressings, soothing pain, and holding it down in ways few ever see.

We also continue delivering hot meals daily to two of Gazas still-functioning hospitals. For the past six weeks, these meals have been a plate or container of baked pies and pizzaswarm, filling, and made with dignity. Because even patients and exhausted medical staff deserve a meal that feels like home, not just survival.

Meanwhile, our flexible initiatives continuesmall but mighty. Just yesterday, we handed out new clothes to over three dozen children sheltering in a school. This is led by Chef Mahmouds widow, Ms. Alaa, alongside my mother. A few days ago, the same crew prepared falafel wraps, produce packs, and molokhia leaves for families in need.

And Ms. FatmaGod bless heris back in her classroom, teaching the little ones their ABCs. Her class has 20 bright-eyed students, eager to learn, to grow, and to hold onto some sense of childhood. The stories coming out of that tent classroom are both heartbreaking and profoundly beautiful.

Now, I know this sounds like the clich part, but hear me when I say itthis only works because of you.

You keep the Gaza Soup Kitchen running. You keep the lights on. You placed your trust in usour team, our stories, and our stubborn belief that even in the darkest moments, we can deliver hope with a bowl of soup, a bag of rice, a clean drink of water, or a fresh-baked pie.

When deep-pocketed organizations shut down in Gaza during the hour of greatest needwe stayed open. And not just openwe doubled our locations.

Please keep walking this path with us. Share our stories. Tag us. Mention us in your gatherings, your prayers, your summer eventseven if its as simple as a lemonade stand. (And shout out to the kids whove done just thatyou are giants among us.)

And to the souls who are fasting for Gaza right nowthank you. Thank you for refusing to let a vile, right-wing government weaponize your grief. Your humanity shines.

In sumud,
Hani"

At least 549 Palestinians killed seeking aid from US, Israeli distribution sites

Daily killings of aid seekers nothing short of a scandal for the whole world

The killings of more than 500 Palestinians near aid hubs in Gaza over the past month is a travesty and a global scandal, says academic Sami Al-Arian.

Every day people go there hoping that they can get some food so that they can feed their starving children and they end up dead, they end up injured, in a place where there is no medical facility in which they can even treat their injuries.

Israels Channel 12 news reported that the government has already halted aid deliveries to Gaza, with the pause to remain in place until the Israeli military presents its plan, "to prevent Hamas from seizing the aid."

A survivor of the Tuesday massacre at the GHF distribution point in Rafah said that shortly after the appointed distribution time, Israeli soldiers were near the road to the site, hunting people as if they were ducks.

At least 60 Palestinians were killed while trying to get aid in Gaza in the past 24 hours.

More than 500 have been killed since the US-and-Israel-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation took over distribution, a process condemned as a death trap by UN officials.

Disturbingly, people are given just 20-minute windows at the aid centres to get their hands on whatever is available, such as food parcels. Once that 20-minute period ends, shooting often starts. That is one of the reasons were seeing large numbers of people dying at these centres.

Despite the danger, people feel that they have to go to the sites. If they dont, their children will not eat.

Aid seekers given just 20 minutes at GHF-run sites to find supplies

Aid distribution centres run by the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) are set up very close to where Israeli forces are stationed, with their tanks, armoured vehicles and surrounding snipers. So when large crowds gather, they are vulnerable to Israeli fire.

The newly created so-called aid mechanism is an abomination that humiliates and degrades desperate people, Philippe Lazzarini said at a news conference in Berlin. It is a death trap costing more lives than it saves, he said.

More than 450 people have been killed and nearly 3,500 injured by Israeli fire while seeking aid since late May many close to GHF sites.

Israeli attacks have killed at least 50 aid seekers in Gaza so far today.

Hungry crowds gather a food distribution centres in Rafah or the Netzarim Corridor. So far, 13 aid-seekers have been shot dead today. They are among 30 people killed by Israels military since the early hours.

Netzarim was built by Israeli forces on what used to be a vibrant Palestinian neighbourhood with vast agricultural land. It is now a field of rubble for the Israeli security corridor.
