"Northern Gaza desperate for aid as supplies trickle in
By Hani Mahmoud
Reporting from Gaza City
In the north of Gaza, were not seeing aid trucks coming in. The Zikim crossing in the north has been blocked for 50 days now, with no entry of any trucks.
The only trucks weve been seeing since the beginning of the ceasefire are the commercial trucks, belonging to business owners and traders who were given permission by the Israeli military to enter central and southern Gaza.
They send the shipments to northern Gaza where they end up being sold at a very high price, beyond the financial reach of people.
Besides this, there is no infrastructure no warehouses, no roads for these trucks to drive on. Much of the city has been reduced to rubble, and the streets are difficult to navigate.
For over two years now, weve been talking about aid, and nothing has changed. Theres been a trickle thats been allowed in by Israel only to try to evade global criticism. But when you look, the amount is nowhere near sufficient to address the humanitarian crisis across the Gaza Strip."
U.S. President Donald Trump has accused his Colombian counterpart, Gustavo Petro, of being an "illegal drug leader and said the U.S. would halt all aid to the country.

Colombia was once among the largest recipients of US aid in the Western Hemisphere, but the flow of money was suddenly curtailed this year by the shuttering of , the US govt's arm.
Colombia currently pays 10% tariffs on most imports to the US, the baseline level Trump imposed on many countries.

Commercial trucks largely entering Gaza, not aid
We are supposed to be receiving 600 trucks every day of humanitarian aid, but whats entering is less than 300 trucks. Palestinians want food, they want shelter, they want medicine.
What is entering are the commercial trucks and things that are being sold in the market. But again, Palestinians do not have the ability to buy these items. Gaza residents do not have money. Banks did not open yet

By Tareq Abu Azzoum
The Israeli military is still imposing restrictions on aid deliveries to the Gaza Strip. We understand that under the current terms of the agreement, at least 600 aid trucks must be allowed into the Strip every day to alleviate the humanitarian crisis.
But for now, we can only see a trickle of aid making its journey to the Strip. From the early hours of this morning, only 12 World Food Programme aid trucks have entered the central area where we are.
We have been closely monitoring this development, and have heard from people on the ground that Gaza not only needs aid to survive, but to build the foundations of the local community that has been severely affected.
We have been told by many families that people really want fuel to re-operate hospitals, medicines to treat the wounded and even materials to rebuild their destroyed homes."
