Distributes AFN 61.5 Million to 4,100 Displaced Families in
Tuesday, March 17, 2027
The ARCS, with support from the , distributed cash assistance totaling AFN 61.5 million to 4,100 internally displaced families in Narai and Sarkano districts of Kunar Province. Each family received AFN 15,000 to meet their basic needs.
The ceremony was attended by Sheikh-ul-Hadith Ahmad Noor Hanif and Mawlawi Mohammad Usman Baloch, advisors to ARCS Mawlawi Qamar Gul Nasrat, Director of the Eastern Zone and Mawlawi Abdul Latif Sabit, Head of the Kunar Provincial Branch.
Speaking at the , Sheikh-ul-Hadith Ahmad Noor Hanif said that supporting and assisting people displaced by disasters is one of the core of ARCS. He added that, within the framework of its , ARCS will continue to provide assistance to affected families in cooperation with national and international .
He described the assistance as an important means of meeting the basic needs of displaced families in these difficult circumstances and expressed confidence that similar support will be extended to other provinces in the future.
Meanwhile, Mawlawi Qamar Gul Nasrat stated that a had been conducted to identify eligible families, and that cash assistance is now being distributed according to a defined mechanism. He emphasized that efforts have been made to ensure the reaches those most in need.

In continuation of the launch of the cash assistance program for 17,850 families by the ARCS, provided cash assistance totaling AFN 45 million to 3,000 families in Dand-e-Patan and Zazi Aryob districts of Paktia Province.
The was distributed in the presence of Sheikh-ul-Hadith Ahmad Noor Hanif and Mawlawi Mohammad Usman Baloch, advisers of the ARCS, Sayed Minhajuddin Hashimi, Southeast Zone Director, and Al-haj Mufti Ghulam Sarwar Abu Ahmad, head of the Paktia Branch.
During the , Sheikh-ul-Hadith Ahmad Noor Hanif said that ARCS stands by those in need as part of its and considers supporting people affected by a duty. He added that the organizations leadership continues its efforts to mobilize humanitarian aid for internally displaced families and plans to extend similar assistance to other provinces in the coming days.
Mr. Hashimi stated that the ARCS has conducted a of 8,300 internally displaced families across Paktia, Khost, and Paktika provinces, and that the assistance distribution is now being implemented in practice. He expressed gratitude for the ongoing support from the and voiced hope for the continuation of such assistance.
It is noteworthy that this cash assistance was provided with financial support from the ICRC, with each family receiving AFN 15,000.
